Evans Music City offers full service repairs for a wide variety of electronic instruments and equipment. We specialize in tube amp services, including custom mods and builds.

We are dealers for Mercury Magnetics Products and can help you improve your amp's tone!

Lessons

Did you know Evans Music City offers lessons seven days a week? Our instructors offer flexible scheduling to fit your schedule. Instruction is available for guitar, bass, drums, keyboard/piano, banjo or other fretted instruments and more. Call Nancy at 713-781-2100 for more info.

Rentals

Our rental department is ready to serve you. From backline rigs to full concert setups to small gatherings, we can organize and assemble the right gear for the job. Delivery/pickup, setup, and live sound engineering services are an option always available to you.

Chris Benavente and Brian Barrett build amazing custom guitars and basses. We at Evans Music are proud to make these fine instruments available to our clientele. They make an incredible team that isn't afraid to try a different approach to guitar and bass design. The end result is a truly unique instrument and a great playing experience.

Schecter
Schecter's history began in the 1980's as a manufacturer of aftermarket guitar parts and hardware. Eventually they expanded into custom guitars and at one point had Yngwie Malmsteen on their endorsement roster.

Today Schecter guitars are designed and built with upgraded hardware and electronics (some models feature EMG® electronics and Floyd Rose® tremolo systems) that would normally be found on more expensive instruments.

Suhr is yet another custom guitar manufacturer proudly sold at Evans Music. A full line custom builder of guitars and guitar electronics, Suhr can get you the sound and feel you're searching for.

A longtime 'secret' brand of the pros, Suhr guitars and electronics are now available to the general public.

Michael Tuttle Guitars
The newest addition to our boutique builder roster, Tuttle guitars offer the best of the best in handmade, custom built guitars. Every detail of a Tuttle guitar is built to your exact specifications. Stop in and play one for yourself!

Lace Guitars
Lace guitars feature their own Lace pickups. Most widely known for their Lace Sensor pickups that were sold as original equipment on Fender's American Deluxe models throughout the late 80's to the mid 90's, Lace also has a full line of electric guitars, acoustic guitars, and basses.

We also sell Lace pickups for electric and acoustic guitars as well as pre-wired pickguard assemblies.

Washburn
Washburn guitars were established in the 1920's but their history began in 1883 in Chicago. Washburn guitars were embraced as the very embodiment and reflective spirit of the hard-working musicians who played them as well as the employees who designed and crafted them. It is the same spirit that guides Washburn to this day.
