After a rousing set by DJ Sun, one of the judges and a longtime Houston DJ, the contestants kicked off a crowd pleasing series of five minute sets, with an interlude filled in by Johnny Spencer, 2004's grand prize winner. Contestants and crowd alike were treated to video on a projection screen showing a close-up view of the tables. The contestants used American Audio's high torque HTD4.5 turntables, and the crowd listened through the same set of Wharfedale speakers that were part of the grand prize!

DJ Bacab, last year's second place winner, took the grand prize in 2005, taking home an American Audio UHF 16 channel wireless mic, a set of Audio-Technica ATHM30 headphones, and a pair of Whafedale EVP-X15 p.a. speakers!!

DJ Konfusion, another DJ who has previously graced the Evans spinoffs, put together a great set to win second place, taking home an American Audio DCD-PRO310 dual cd deck, and a pair of Audio-Technica ATH-M30 headphones!!
